Homemade Soup and Bread Bowls

Homemade bread bowls, two or three different homemade soups and a big salad are the makings for a family gathering that we enjoy. Sometimes we share this meal when we are celebrating another occasion but most of the time it's just another opportunity to share in a family tradition.

We all contribute in the cooking and preparations. It is a fresh and hearty meal that is enjoyed by everyone.

Do you make the bread bowls from scratch as well as the soup? That looks delish~

Yes I make the bread bowls from scratch. I use my yeast roll recipe and I make the bowls using the same amount of dough I would for 4 or 5 rolls. Allow them to rise until double then bake!

I would be happy to share my roll recipe if you would like.

You can also use frozen bread dough. It is good but much more expensive. When you make them from scratch it doesn't cost much so you don't mind all of the waste you get when many can't finish their bowls too!
